AHISA Advisor Program

The transition into Headship is both a privilege and a challenge. At AHISA, we understand that the early years of leadership can be as daunting as they are exciting — which is why we’ve created the Advisor Program.

Designed to support newly appointed Heads of independent schools, the Advisor Program offers confidential, collegial mentoring from experienced Heads — including both currently serving leaders and AHISA Former Members.

How It Works

New Heads are thoughtfully matched with an experienced Advisor, creating a one-on-one relationship that allows for open, honest conversations, reflective guidance, and valuable learning. Advisors offer insight on everything from governance and leadership challenges to building culture and managing personal wellbeing.

This is not a formal coaching program — it’s a supportive, collegial relationship, grounded in shared experience and mutual respect.

Join the AHISA Advisor Program

Whether you are a new Head seeking guidance or an experienced leader keen to support a colleague, AHISA’s Advisor Program fosters the kind of connections that enrich school leadership — and strengthen our entire community.
