Principals as teachers

Published in Independence, Vol 32 No 2 October 2007, this suite of reflections  explores the difficulties Heads face in maintaining a teaching role and, when administrative pressures finally cause them to release teaching duties, how they manage to stay in touch with what’s happening in the classroom.
