Chairman’s Message

Message from AHISA’s National Chairman

Welcome to AHISA’s website.

AHISA is a professional association for heads in independent schools. By supporting high standards of collegiality, professional practice and conduct among our members we aim to contribute to a high quality education for Australia’s young people.

Good schools must have good school leaders and we aim to help our members achieve their leadership goals through a variety of collegial and professional learning networks. Importantly, our members are also helping to nurture Australia’s next generation of school leaders.

Through their schools, AHISA’s 345 members are serving the needs of some 340,000 students, including students from overseas. It is a tremendous job to be entrusted with the education and development of young people and we are proud of the outstanding leadership that our members give to their schools. It is an honour to assist in this enterprise.
